The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the clinic by working with the Board of Directors and the Executive Mangement Team to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies.
Full responsibility for health center operations, clinical and financial performance outcomes, budget oversight and financial sustainability, asset protection, and ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Requires advanced knowledge of health center operations including health center finance, administration and governance, grant management, all aspects of clinical operations including ensuring access to affordable quality patient centered primary health care. Sets the vision and direction for the health center in collaboration with the health center’s Board of Directors. Ensures compliance with BCHC policies and procedures.

Minimum Education Required
• Master’s Degree in related field required
• Doctorate in related field preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
• Five years of leadership/management experience in a health care setting.
• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center is preferred.

Required Knowledge
• Health Center Operations: Extensive specialized knowledge in health center operations including finance, clinic operations and quality control, population health, administration, governance, and compliance.
• Accounting: Expert knowledge of health center financial operations including budget development, analysis of financial data, cost- benefit analysis, forecasting and planning.
• Clerical: Expert knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems (i.e.MS Word, Excel, etc.), files and record maintenance, and other office procedures and terminology.
