2026 KORE/KPCA Peer Support Specialist Annual Training

The Kentucky Primary Care Association (KPCA) and the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE) invite you to attend the 2026 Peer Support Specialist Annual Training, a focused and immersive professional development opportunity for Certified Peer Support Specialists across Kentucky. This retreat-style training is designed to build skills, strengthen connections, and foster a supportive learning environment for those on the front lines of recovery services.

Location and Accommodations
The event will take place at Natural Bridge State Resort Park, a scenic and peaceful setting ideal for reflection and learning. Attendees will be provided with a private room in the lodge, and all training sessions will be held in a nearby cabin to facilitate group discussion, activities, and interactive learning. Meals and lodging during the training will be fully covered. Please note that travel expenses are not included.

Cost and Registration
There is no cost to attend this training; however, space is limited. Early registration is encouraged to ensure participation.

Jim Cowser, LCADC, CPSS, Executive Director – Community Wellness & Coaching Center
Jim Cowser brings decades of experience in addiction recovery, peer support development, and program leadership. As Executive Director of the Community Wellness & Coaching Center (CWCC), Jim has trained and mentored hundreds of Peer Support Specialists and is recognized across the Commonwealth for his compassionate, real-world approach to recovery work. His expertise in building recovery capital and leading peer-driven trainings makes this event a valuable experience for all attendees.
